Democracy as a new way of being?

Our way of being is dominated by imposing our will over one another. 

The one with the best story. 

The one who screams the loudest. 

The winner takes it all. 

As Taleb analyses, often, the simplest story wins. The story that is black vs. white. The story that offers a clear winner and a clear loser. 

Democracy imposes its will on its citizens. If it works well, a majority imposes its will on a minority. 

Democracy then responds to our way of being. 

If there was another way of being, can there be another way of governing?
