A return to human decency.
Shame on those who want to tell me that I should eat less meat, that I shouldn’t take the flight to the tropical island, that I shouldn’t be living in a house in the countryside, that I shouldn’t keep the old car that my grandma gave me. How dare you think that I shouldn’t? Those are my human rights. Those are the things that give me with pleasure and this is what makes my life good. I am all for protecting the environment, I compensate my Carbon footprint for each of my six flights per year. I insulate our house. And I only drive the car if I have to. There is a line somewhere. Humans are here to enjoy life.
Call me a pessimist, but from what I’ve heard, the planet does not have the resources for us to continue this lifestyle. Human rights & privileges. Privileges and human rights. What was what again?
